Ability: Tombstone[]

On Attack: Grimm creates a Tombstone at his starting position on the beach, which spawns zombies.

On Defense: Grimm creates a Tombstone wherever he starts, which spawns zombies.

Upgrades[]

Level 7: Back from the Grave

Where Grimm dies, he is revived as a giant zombie.

Level 17: Dead On Target

Grimm occasionally spawns a zombie at the feet of his target.

Level 23: Mass Grave

Grimm's Tombstone spawns two zombies at a time.

Level 32: Endless Horde

When the Tombstone is destroyed, Grimm can raise another.

Level 57: Granite Tombstone

The Tombstone gains Armor.

Strategy & Hero Synergies[]

Grimm's strength is in his ability to spawn unending infantry to assist in the battle. While only up to two zombies can be spawned at a time by the tombstone, there are ways to abuse this better - the closer the tombstone spawns to the enemy, more zombies get to enter the fray. Though not very strong, they still have health and absorb hits for other more important members of the team.

Taigar appreciates Grimm's Tombstone, as the zombies it spawns provide eyes for her to see & fire on enemies early with the Sharpshooter skill. Grimm appreciates Cladwall's Holy Shield as well due to zombies benefitting from the shield. Any ranged hero appreciates more bodies to block for them as well - more bodies are good bodies. Finally, squads containing Archers or Sentries appreciate the Tombstone as well.

Zombies can throw a wrench into Defensive plans containing Dyna or Freya, as these can break the Beaker Bomb or Icy Clutch respectively, if positioned in such a way. Balthor's Thunderstrike can be popped early on Defense in this manner too, and careless players may lose their Thunderstrike on Attack as well.
