Strategy[]

On Defense:[]

Dyna on Defense can create a very solid position that can be difficult to uproot. Her Beaker Bomb can provide extra time for allies to get into a more secure defensive position, buy time for offensive squads to assist and deal heavy damage. Once the "Buried Bomb" upgrade is researched, a second bomb can be placed on the map to stall enemies, keep them stunned repeatedly, or assist a faraway ally in need of assistance.

Dyna assists Wesley well as he tends to be isolated from other squads; her "Buried Bomb" can be positioned in a spot that can help tip the scales for him to make the difference. Mason can partner well with Dyna to double down and guard a single Crystal effectively. Dyna herself has a slight range to her attacks, not unlike Sentries. This allows her to appreciate any melee attacking heroes, such as Cladwall or Iriel who can stay ahead of her and absorb a few hits so her "Scatter Shot" can be maximized.

Strong:

  • Soldiers are a very impactful and self-reliant troop choice. With their high Health and Armor, they can take the brunt of an attack and with their high Attack paired with decent squad size, they can abuse the Beaker Bomb's stunning effect very efficiently. Additionally, these troops can provide an effective barrier between Dyna and the opposing squads, allowing her "Scatter Shot" to take maximum possible effect.
  • Brutes are another powerful and self reliable choice of squad. Their incredible Health, Armor, and Attack stats prove reasonable and reliable for defending, and paired with Dyna she can toss her Beaker Bomb without fear of being stunned or frozen herself while. Their lower squad size can prove less effective for abusing the stun, but ensuring the bomb can be thrown can be worth this cost, considering not much offensive power is given up.

Good:

  • Sentries with Dyna is a potent combination. While not as self reliable as Soldiers or Brutes, Sentries with proper support paired with Dyna's Beaker Bomb can decimate opposing forces with ease with their extremely high damage output.
  • Serfs can provide an excellent barrier between Dyna & opposition so "Scatter Shot" can be used to strong effect. They don't provide as much damage output as Soldiers, but their extremely high numbers allow them to produce noteworthy damage during the Beaker Bomb's stun.

Fair:

  • Archers can benefit from Dyna with proper support from a squad of Serfs or Soldiers, as she can provide a stun to prevent the Archers themselves from being engaged in melee combat. This provides a very strong core with three layers of attackers working together, as Dyna herself attacks at a small range from behind the supporting squad.

Poor:

  • Knights are useable in conjunction with Dyna. A flanking maneuver can be very effective especially paired with a controlled stun like the Beaker Bomb. However, this requires precision planning to execute properly and hinges on the Beaker Bomb not being removed by a stray enemy unit to make her use the bomb early.

On Attack:[]

Dyna on Attack can be very potent thanks to her Beaker Bomb. An on-demand, targeted stun is a powerful tool which can allow your team to get into position and abuse high damage setups.

Dyna likes to work with other melee heroes such as Cladwall and Iriel, as her slightly ranged attacks can give her breathing room while she works on bringing down multiple targets at once. Balthor on offense alongside Dyna is much better than defense, as you can initiate with Thunderstrike or Beaker Bomb, then follow up with the other without much hassle.

Strong:

  • Brutes are a powerful option for Dyna as the squad has incredible Health, Armor, and Attack to initiate. Additionally the squad is immune to stuns the enemy may have readied for a direct approach, letting Dyna not only clear these but plant her own stun to give extra time for allies to get into a strong position.
  • Soldiers also provide reliable power as well as a barrier for Dyna to hide behind and get her Beaker Bomb set up safely. While not immune to stuns, it does provide more squad members to protect Dyna and other squads with.

Good:

  • Sentries share the range of Dyna, meaning she positions with them naturally. Additionally, her ability to stun at the opportune time can allow Sentries to provide damage to optimal targets and maximum uptime of damage dealt.
  • Serfs provide excellent cover for Dyna to maximize her damage uptime, while providing a large barrier for other squads. They also do decent damage during the Beaker Bomb's stun duration given their high squad number, though less damage than other troops due to their low Attack stat.

Fair:

  • Archers with Dyna requires support from other squads; though Dyna herself is close range and can delay enemy squads, Dyna is not very durable on her own and is not protected at all to maximize her high damage potential since Archers don't take damage for her.
  • Knights provide a good means of initiation and can flank an enemy effectively thanks to Beaker Bomb's stun. They don't have very high damage to capitalize compared to other troops though.
